Workshop held in Lynn’s  studio in Ogonnelloe, Co. Clare.

Ideal for those who have completed beginners sewing workshop with Lynn or have experience of using sewing machine.

On this workshop,improvers will re cap on the working of the sewing machine; how to thread it up, wind a bobbin and stitch width, length and tension and learn to trouble shoot common problems.How to iron, press and finish a product.

We will learn how to cut simple pattern pieces from fabric and pin up in order to sew product. We will make a lined bag and learn how to insert a zip, velcro and sew buttons, etc.

If you have a sewing machine, its a good idea to bring your own, so your child can get used to it. Otherwise, I have a few machines here that can be used.

Lynn has 25 years of teaching creative subjects in various educational settings; primary, secondary, adult education and 3rd level education. She has a Degree from NCAD and a Hdip in adult and community education. She holds regular one day adult workshops and children’s camps and workshops. Lynn is garda vetted and has completed  ‘Introduction to children first’ training.
