Suitable for beginners and improvers
On this workshop,improvers will learn the workings of the sewing machine; how to thread it up, wind a bobbin and stitch width, length and tension and learn to trouble shoot common problems. How to iron, press and finish a product.
We will learn how to pin up and cut simple pattern pieces from fabric. The workshop will result in a couple of products as well as general sewing skills.
If you have a sewing machine, its a good idea to bring your own, so your child can get used to it. Otherwise, I have a few machines here that can be used.

Lynn has 25 years of teaching creative subjects in various educational settings; primary, secondary, adult education and 3rd level education. She has a Degree from NCAD in contemporary embroidery, a Hdip in adult and community education and in the process of completing a certificate in art and wellbeing in Crawford college, Cork. Lynn is garda vetted and has completed ‘Introduction to children first’ training.
