Beginners sewing workshop for children February

30euro deposit per booking is needed to secure a place.

Workshop fee 55euro. Balance to be paid on day of workshop.

Workshop held in Lynn’s  studio in Ogonnelloe, Co. Clare. 

9-16years

On this workshop, beginners will learn how a machine works, how to thread it, wind a bobbin and stitch width, length and tension and learn to trouble shoot common problems.

We will practice stitching, look at seam width and securing stitching, how to press and finish a product. We will aim to make a finished product of a cushion cover on the day.

If you have a sewing machine, its a good idea to bring your own, so your child can get used to it. Otherwise, I have a few machines here that can be used.

Lynn has 25 years of teaching creative subjects in various educational settings; primary, secondary, adult education and 3rd level education. She has a Degree from NCAD and a Hdip in adult and community education. She holds regular one day adult workshops and children’s camps and workshops. Lynn is garda vetted and has completed  ‘Introduction to children first’ training.
